Planning with Confidence

Where do we curate journeys?

Our concierge curates journeys across East, Southern, and Central Africa, as well as the Indian Ocean. Rather than working from a fixed list of countries, we guide each guest to the regions and experiences best suited to their interests, timing, and style of travel.

What makes a safari in Kenya with Cottar’s Safaris different?

Kenya is our home. Generations of experience give us an intuitive understanding of its landscapes, wildlife patterns, and private conservancies. We combine iconic sightings with exclusive access and long-standing conservation partnerships, ensuring your safari feels both authentic and exceptional.

How do we design purposeful journeys?

Purposeful travel begins with listening. We take time to understand your interests, pace, and priorities before shaping an itinerary around seasonality, wildlife movements, guiding style, and conservation impact, ensuring your journey feels both meaningful and seamless.

Why does first-hand knowledge matter?

Every camp and experience we recommend has been personally vetted. This lived understanding allows us to match you to the right place, at the right time, with complete confidence.

Can I book through my preferred travel advisor?

Yes — and we encourage it.

We work hand-in-hand with a global network of trusted travel advisors and trade partners. If you already have a preferred agent, we are very happy to collaborate with them to design and deliver your safari.

Kenya, in East Africa, the original safari destination is defined by its diversity of landscapes and wildlife. In the southwest, the Maasai Mara is an exceptional year-round safari destination, with incredible wildlife viewing opportunities, including the Big Five, and the Great Migration. Surrounding conservancies provide the same spectacle with greater exclusivity. To the north, Laikipia and Samburu are home to thriving rhino populations, and in the south, Amboseli is famed for its great tuskers with Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.

Additionally, Kenya is an ideal beach-and-safari combination, with the Indian Ocean easily accessible. Cottar’s Safaris Travel Concierge partners with like-minded properties to ensure every safari supports conservation and communities.
